I finally found them!!

Found who you ask? Interestingly enough, I have long thought that a blog would be a great forum for someone with MS.  Why? 1) People with MS are some of the most talkative people I have ever encountered.  But, in a good way! Their goal is usually to share as much information as possible with others, particularly about MS.  2) It allows someone (especially someone with limited mobility) to work from home while reaching as many people as possible, even on a worldwide basis.  Well, this weekend I finally found the MS Blogosphere!!

For those not familiar with the term “Blogosphere” here is a definition courtesy of Wikipedia.org:  ”The blogosphere is made up of all blogs and their interconnections. The term implies that blogs exist together as a connected community (or as a collection of connected communities) or as a social network in which everyday authors can publish their opinions.” http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Blogosphere&oldid=332782905 (last visited Jan. 3, 2010).

I have been searching for it for months to no avail.  Well, I guess I finally entered the proper search terms into Google this time and voila!!  Not only are there tons of other blogs out there, there is one blogger, Lisa Emrich, that has compiled a directory of the MS blogs in existence and her blog is entitled “Carnival of MS Bloggers.”  It contains a directory of many of the other MS blogs out there  It can be found at the following address: http://msblogcentral.blogspot.com.  Thank you so much, Lisa!!

Well, this find affects my blog in two major ways: 1) I have ALWAYS wanted my blog to be a much more proactive one and not one that merely regurgitates information that can be found elsewhere, hence the title.  And 2) I will now place a link to other blogs that contain the same information that I would write so as not to be duplicative.

I think the sheer number of blogs that are devoted to MS is very telling as to the pervasiveness of this illness.  I would highly recommend that anyone who is even remotely interested in this topic set aside some time and  take a look at these various blogs and, if you  still have a question,  do not hesitate to raise it with me.

To be clear,  this is not the end of my blog.  In fact, it is a rebirth!!
